Scope and Applicability
This California Privacy Policy supplements our standard Privacy Policy and applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq., as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
APPLICABILITY NOTE: The CCPA/CPRA applies to for-profit businesses meeting one or more of these thresholds: (a) annual gross revenues exceeding $25 million; (b) buying, selling, or sharing the personal information of 100,000+ California consumers annually; or (c) deriving 50%+ of revenues from selling California consumers' personal information. Abora Travel currently does not meet these thresholds. This policy is provided as a good-faith transparency measure.
Categories of Personal Information Collected
Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, postal address, IP address.
Personal Information (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)): Name, address, passport or government ID number, credit card and financial account information.
Internet or Network Activity: Browsing activity on our Site, search queries, and interaction data.
Travel Preference Data: Destination preferences, travel dates, dietary and accessibility requirements.
Sensitive Personal Information: Passport numbers, government ID numbers, and payment card data including credit card numbers, collected and stored for booking purposes.
Purposes for Collection
We collect and use personal information for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy: providing travel planning and booking services, completing travel reservations, communicating with clients, complying with legal and government reporting obligations, and improving our services and Site.
Categories of Third Parties with Whom We Share Information
Dream Vacations (franchise host and registered Florida Seller of Travel), travel suppliers (airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators, and DMCs), authorized payment processors, and government or regulatory authorities when legally required. We do not sell personal information, nor do we share it for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
California Consumer Rights
Right to Know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Right to Opt Out: We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. No opt-out action is required.
Right to Limit Sensitive PI Use: Request that we limit use of sensitive personal information to purposes directly necessary for our services.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
How to Submit a Request
Email [email protected] with subject line: "California Privacy Request." We will acknowledge within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days as required by law. We may request identity verification before processing your request.
Shine the Light Disclosure (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83)
California residents may request, once per year, a list of third parties to whom we disclosed personal information for direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for direct marketing without consent. Submit requests to [email protected] with subject line "Shine the Light Request."
